If you’ve ever said the words, “I just feel stuck,” I want you to know how normal (and how human) that truly is. Feeling stuck is something almost every client brings into the therapy room at some point. And while it can feel frustrating, heavy, or confusing, it’s not a sign that you’re doing something wrong. It’s actually a sign that something important in your life is asking for attention.

Most people describe feeling stuck in one of three ways:
Life feels the same no matter what you try
You’re putting in effort, but nothing feels like it’s shifting.
You might look successful on the outside, but on the inside it feels like you’re standing still.
You’re not sure who you are anymore
The things that used to fit (relationships, routines, roles) no longer feel aligned with who you’re becoming.
You feel disconnected from your emotions or your direction
You’re going through the motions, but not feeling deeply connected to your life.
In therapy, I help clients understand why they feel stuck, and those reasons are usually rooted in:
Old coping patterns that no longer work
Emotional exhaustion or burnout
Fear of change
Identity shifts
Grief or past experiences that haven’t been processed
A mismatch between your values and your actions
When we work together, you can expect your sessions to feel like a safe space to slow down and explore what’s underneath the surface. I ask gentle but direct questions that help you understand not only what’s happening, but why it’s happening.
Together, we look at:
The beliefs you’re holding
The patterns you’ve learned
The emotions you’ve been carrying
The parts of yourself that want to grow
Feeling stuck doesn’t mean you’re broken. It means you’re at a point of transition, and transitions require clarity, support, and patience.
In therapy, I help clients understand the emotional patterns that keep them feeling stuck and support them in taking the next step forward, one that feels realistic and grounded. If you’re navigating this right now, you don’t have to do it alone.
